The issue of sustainability is a particularly significant element in the context of the development of the LNG infrastructure. Therefore, it is important indeed to emphasise that the LNG infrastructure could also be used in the liquefied biogas (LBG) sector. In this regard, the framework of the project aims to develop a business model that will help the local authorities, or other local communities representing the interests of the administrative units in the countries of the Baltic Sea region, to ensure the needs for transport energy are satisfied while using energy from waste for this purpose. With the growing demand for LNG, similar processes are taking place in the LBG sector. By developing the LNG infrastructure in the region, we can create the opportunity to develop both of these closely related markets, and thus further open our way to sources of clean energy.
